Nominations Open for 2017 Iowa Nonprofit Awards

Deadline: July 31

The purpose of the Iowa Nonprofit Awards is to recognize the exceptional practices, achievements, and impact of nonprofit organizations and professionals, philanthropic organizations, national service and volunteer programs, and local collaborations for their efforts to address community challenges. 

Nonprofit leaders, volunteer management professionals, and members of the public are invited to nominate the professional staff and volunteers who serve Iowans in countless ways.  Award winners will be recognized during the Iowa Nonprofit Summit to be held Oct. 24-25 in Altoona, Iowa.

Nominations are accepted in seven categories:

  • Nonprofit Spotlight Award
  • Nonprofit Board Leadership Award
  • Nonprofit Staff Leadership Award
  • Philanthropic Impact Award
  • Outstanding Volunteer or National Service Program Award
  • Outstanding Volunteer or National Service Manager Award
  • Outstanding Nonprofit Collaboration Award

About the Iowa Nonprofit Summit
The biennial Iowa Nonprofit Summit provides high-quality and relevant training for nonprofit leaders who are focused on successfully operating a nonprofit program: capacity building, excellence in nonprofit and volunteer management, leadership development, financial and board management, and many other topics.  This conference is coordinated through a collaboration that includes: Volunteer Iowa; Larned A. About Volunteer Iowa (or Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service)
Volunteer Iowa and its partner agencies work with organizations and individuals on three main fronts. The first is to help agencies develop quality programs that use service as a strategy to fulfill their missions and address Iowa’s greatest areas of need.
