Iowa Nonprofit Summit Announces Keynote Presenters

The summit will feature internationally renowned industry experts

Des Moines, Iowa – The Iowa Nonprofit Summit planning team and Volunteer Iowa are pleased to announce two featured keynote presenters for this year’s biennial Iowa Nonprofit Summit:

Rick Lynch – Mr. Lynch is a Seattle-based management consultant with a variety of clients all over the world. He is the President of Lynch Associates, a consulting firm whose mission is to help organizations create productive workplaces. Mr. Lynch speaks each year on topics related to personal growth, volunteer engagement, and nonprofit effectiveness. He is the author of several books, including: Lead!: How public and non-profit managers can bring out the best in themselves and their organizationsGetting Out of Your Own Way; and, Precision Management. He is also the co-author of the books Secrets of LeadershipKeeping Volunteers, and Volunteer Management, the world's best-selling book in the field of volunteer management.
Michael McCann – Mr. McCann provides leadership to a volunteer program that in the past year consisted of over 600 volunteers completing more than 10,000 hours of service within the local community. This community outreach program has won the Leading Age Illinois Community Impact Award three times (2015, 2013, and 2011) as well as the School District 54 Community Partner Award (2012). As the Lifestyles Director for Friendship Senior Options, Michael McCann has over 20 years of providing leadership for nonprofits in all dimensions of wellness, and uses his experiences to motivate, teach and facilitate long-term personal development and well-being.

The biennial Iowa Nonprofit Summit will take place October 24 and 25, 2017 at The Meadows Events and Conference Center located at Prairie Meadows Casino in Altoona, Iowa. Registration will open later this summer. For more information, visit
