Volunteer Centers of Iowa is a statewide network of Volunteer Centers located in numerous communities across Iowa.
Mission: The mission of the Volunteer Centers of Iowa is to enable participating Volunteer Centers in Iowa to better meet the needs of their communities and promote volunteerism through information exchange, collaboration and support.
Volunteer Center Definition: The VCI defines a Volunteer Center as a professional organization that maintains an online presence that facilitates engaging volunteers in meaningful opportunities to serve, heightens awareness of volunteering by recognizing community volunteers and builds the capacity for effective volunteering by providing learning opportunities in volunteer management.
