The annual Give Back Iowa Challenge, which runs from April 1st through May 31st, is designed to engage Iowans in employer supported volunteering. Iowa employers are encouraged to pre-register by March 16th, but can elect to participate at any time during the Challenge.
The Give Back Iowa Challenge is an opportunity for employees who volunteer to receive recognition by tracking and reporting their hours. The Challenge was created in 2015 to promote employer volunteer initiatives for organizations of all sizes across the state. Volunteering not only has a significant impact on meeting community needs, but employer supported volunteering has a positive impact on business, including strengthened employee engagement, organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and retention.
Employers with the highest average number of volunteer hours per employee during the Challenge period will be recognized with a visit by Governor Kim Reynolds or Lt. Governor Adam Gregg to their workplace. Join our e-mail list to make sure you don't miss important announcements about the Give Back Iowa Challenge.
