Volunteer Generation Fund
The Volunteer Generation Fund is a new opportunity created by the Edward M. Kennedy
Serve America Act (SAA). The Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service is honored to
be one of the first recipients of a Volunteer Generation Fund (VGF) grant from the
Corporation for National and Community Service.
The VGF will allow the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service to make funding available
for the creation of new, or the expansion of existing, volunteer connector organizations.
By building the capacity of these volunteer centers, we are helping to provide all
Iowans with the opportunity to contribute meaningful volunteer service towards worthy
causes in their communities.
