ISU Students Help ACCESS Women's Shelter
Ames, IA

On MLK Day, ACCESS had 30 individuals participate from various community groups. One of the groups included the ISU 10,000 Hours Show. Students helped paint the shelter while other community volunteers cleaned and organized donations.

Twelve participants of the 10K Show donated three hours of their time by helping paint various rooms of the house and doing a little spring cleaning throughout the living areas and kitchen. All participants enjoyed helping spruce up the house and interacting with the residents while also helping their community on their day off from classes.
