Foster Grandparents Give Books to Local Head Start Centers and Elementary Schools
Northwest Iowa

The Foster Grandparent volunteers handed out books to children at the local Head Start Centers and elementary schools in their six county service area on MLK Day. What a great time their volunteers had handing out books and receiving the hugs that went with it! Volunteers were able to hand out 800 children's books that were donated to the Foster Grandparent Program by First Books.

The Foster Grandparent volunteers received many notes of thanks from parents, e-mails from appreciative teachers and center directors, and comments from many who were involved in the distribution of the books.
