Colleges and Universities - Learn and Serve for Organizations
Higher Education programs expand participation in community service by supporting innovative service-learning programs carried out through institutions of higher education, which act as civic institutions to meet the human, educational, environmental, or public safety needs of neighboring communities.
Learn & Serve America Higher Education—Grants are awarded on a competitive basis to up to 25 individual higher education institutions and to consortia of such institutions. Grantees are designated as Campuses of Service to develop or disseminate service-learning models and information on service-learning best practices to other institutions of higher education.
Iowa Campus Compact (IACC) is a coalition of college and university presidents committed to fostering in students the values and skills of civic engagement through active involvement in community service and service-learning. IACC is a partner to the ICVS in our efforts to engage Iowa college students in volunteerism.
