Need Volunteers? Since many people looking for volunteer opportunities begin their search online, the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service has instituted a statewide Volunteer Solutions system. This system accomplishes two primary tasks:
Organizations that wish to list volunteer opportunities can register for a no-cost “Agency” account through www.volunteeriowa.org ; just click on the “Need Volunteers?” link in the lower left-hand corner to get started. If you already have an account with Volunteer Solutions or 1-800-Volunteer.org all you need to do is make sure your listings are up to date and that your account settings allow information sharing. Any needs you list through your own system will automatically be included in the Iowa system and will also be available to volunteers searching the national volunteer matching portal at www.FreedomCorps.gov . If you have questions, or need additional information, please contact the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, at 1.800.308.5987 or icvs@iowa.gov . |
