Requesting Donated Goods from the Statewide Warehouse

In June, a warehouse was established by the State of Iowa, FEMA and Adventist Community Service to help store and coordinate donated goods across Iowa.  Non-profits active in disaster can access goods on hand and request items that are needed.  Requesting donated goods is a straightforward process:

  1.  Register with the State of Iowa to get access to AIDMATRIX (Contact Joyce Flynn 515.323.4313).
  2. Organization that needs items sends e-mail to Ankenywarehouse@yahoo.com to request inventory list.
  3. Multi-Agency Warehouse e-mails current inventory list back.  Organization sends e-mail to Ankenywarehouse@yahoo.com requesting supplies on inventory as well things they may need that are not in inventory.
  4. If item is in stock, the warehouse will send e-mail to operation with confirmation of order and delivery information.
  5. If item not in stock, operation enters unmet needs into AIDMATRIX.
  6. Warehouse delivers goods on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
