    Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is part of the ‘United We Serve’, the President’s national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems. Make it a day on, not a day off.
  • Aaron Eilerts Day of Service: February 24, 2012
    The annual Day of Service takes place each year on Aaron’s birthday, in honor of a talented and compassionate young man, who tragically lost his life in the devastating tornado at Camp Little Sioux on June 11, 2008.
  • National Volunteer Week: April 15-21, 2012
    National Volunteer Week is a nationwide initiative to recognize and celebrate the tremendous efforts of volunteers.
  • Iowa Shelter Awareness Day: April 21, 2012
    Iowa Shelter Awareness Day raises awareness of organizations that provide shelter and other critical support services to Iowa’s youth at-risk and victims of domestic violence.

    Global Youth Service Day is an annual campaign, organized by Youth Service America, which celebrates and mobilizes the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning.
